Hello, and welcome!

My name is Lee Shanks - AKA Intuitive Lee - and I specialize in psychic and evidential medium readings from my home here on beautiful Vancouver Island. My clients work with me by phone, messenger, Skype and Zoom from all over world, and in person here in the Cowichan Valley.

I love being an Intuitive Psychic Medium and helping people every day. To me, there’s nothing better than connecting you with your loved ones on the other side, or sharing wisdom from your Spirit Guides for assistance when you have specific questions about your path in life.

I'm a former journalist and manager of government communications. Now my stories are about my life's experiences, and my communication is with the energies around everything and everyone.

In February 2022, I was invited to join the Board of Directors with the Two World's Spiritualist Centre of Nanaimo, BC, and I'm excited to see how I can be of service to the congregation and the spiritual community in this role.

Safe Environment and Experience

Sometimes, people feel a little nervous about getting a reading. From the beginning, my goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable. My approach is to be straightforward and honest, and you may ask any questions you want! There is never any judgement, nor do I think there are any stupid questions.

If I'm working mediumistically, I will always check with you before I begin communicating with anyone that steps forward from the Spirit World to ensure that you are ready and willing to hear from them.

I am serious about my work, but my readings are very relaxed and there is often much laughter. I am always conscious of how my clients are feeling and will always check in throughout the reading to make sure things are making sense and that my client is feeling comfortable. I truly enjoy working with every client I meet and want you to have the best reading possible.

Trained and Certified Medium

Perhaps my favourite of all skills and abilities I posses! There is so much healing offered in a really good session, and that is my goal in every single reading.

As part of a mediumistic reading, I make sure there is no doubt in your mind that the spirits I am in contact with are definitely your loved ones on the other side. I do this by sharing concrete evidence and detailed information that you are able to validate. They will come though with information I have no way of knowing: sometimes names or relationship to you, their personalities, items and memories you will recognize.

I always want to give my best to my clients, so I have spent a lot of time and care refining the psychic medium skills I was born with.

I am certified as a legitimate evidential medium by world-renowned Canadian psychic medium Carmel Joy Baird (previously of CMTs Mom's a Medium).

Through her programs, I have taken : Intuitive Training, Signs and Symbols, Missing Persons and, Certification Levels I-IV: Awaken Your Spirit, Extensive Mediumship, Mediumship 101, and Mediumship Master Class.

I am now a CJB-certified Blue Seal Psychic Medium, meaning I have completed all lessons, passed exams, and provided evidential readings to numerous clients confirming my ability to connect to Spirit and bring through messages of love and support accurately and with great detail; I've had to guide people through some of the most difficult challenges of their lives; and, I had to teach and mentor others.

It is a very stringent program and I am only the second person to ever graduate.

Who can you expect to connect with?

I can't promise that the specific person you are trying to reach is going to come through. No one can. I can't make anyone show up on command. You may hear from spirits other than the ones you are hoping to connect with and you may have surprise visitors as well that you weren't expecting. I will say that most of the time the people you do want to connect with do come through and that, every time, it will be the person and message you need at that moment. I ask that you keep that in mind so that you're open to whomever wants to come through on your behalf.

Your reading will be delivered by me in three parts: First, is recognizing/identifying the energy coming through; Second, the evidence to prove that's who is present; and, finally, if they are taking the time to show up for you, they clearly have a message you are meant to hear at this time.

Psychic Readings

In a Psychic Reading, I use my psychic abilities, Oracle and/or Tarot cards or other divination tools, and my connection to spirit to tap into you and see what is going on in your life. You will always get honest truth and spiritual guidance. I never tell people what they want to hear. That doesn't help anyone. Sometimes you may need to hear another viewpoint in order to make a better decision about a particular situation. I can tap into the root of what is going on, and the people around you, to see where things are heading on your current path. Your guides will come through to help you make decisions and see what you need to look out for along the way.

Who am I?

I believe that we are all born with the ability to tap into our own intuition and connect with the guidance available to us from the Other Side. It is only through the input of those around us that some of us learn it's not 'normal' or the everyday experience of others, so we begin to block those abilities.

This was certainly true of me. As a young child living in a loud, dysfunctional family, Spirit would help me get to sleep by giving me colourful patterns across my ceiling, much like a kaleidoscope. I definitely knew things I shouldn't have had anyway of knowing and often spoke to my Higher Self to help guide me through challenges. At the time, I thought I was talking to myself! I've had loved ones visit me after their passing and can still recall many of my prophetic dreams, but at the time, I chalked it all up to exactly what I was told it was - an overactive imagination.

It wasn't until I was an adult, married with children of my own, that Spirit had enough of waiting for me to recognize what these experiences were and opened my eyes in such a way, I could no longer ignore it (it is common for a traumatic loss or event to trigger the realization that there is more to life that what we've been led to believe).

Once that realization dawned on me, I opened myself to the experience and haven't looked back since. I now spend my days guiding others through their own Awakening and connecting people to their loved ones in Spirit or focussing on my continued growth and learning.

Early in my learning when meeting my first Spirit Guide, I asked why I had been put through so much trauma in my life. I was told then it was in order for me to be able to speak from a place of experience when serving the people that would seek out my services.

Just knowing that that was the reason I'd experienced so much trauma and challenge in my life made my experiences easier to bear, and I'm here to help you feel the same.

I will help you find the lessons contained in your experiences - or help you to accept those lessons you can't make sense of.

I offer group and 1:1 readings in person (as permitted by the local health authority under CoVid restrictions) and online to clients from around the world, including New Zealand, the U.K, Egypt, Pakistan, Belgium, Holland, and all over Canada and the United States.
